ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE is still our democratic way in your Reston Citizens Association (RCA). Our sister organizations permit only one vote per household. Reston Association (RA) members have had restricted votes for as long as anyone can remember. Starting October 2009 the Reston Community Center will adopt the same scheme as RA: however many residents live at your address, there is only one vote per household.

Celebrate the full franchise NOW and vote for the 2009-10 Board of Directors. It is true that none of the directorships are contested this year, but the more voters, the more legitimacy RCA can claim in representing the Reston public. Remember, RCA does not represent only homeowners or only clusters or only businesses or only renters: RCA represents everyone. RCA was chartered to promote and preserve the founding goals of Reston. RCA is an independent voice, not beholden to the County, not beholden to business, and beholden only to its constituents, that is, everyone who lives, works and plays in our special community.

All Reston residents over the age of 16 are eligible to vote in our elections.

At the Festival: we wish we knew in advance where our RCA booth will be located this year, but we don’t. At the Festival there should be a map showing booth locations. Come and find us, vote in person. RCA’s booth will also feature:

Materials from the Reston Accessibility Committee
