The chilly temperatures have not been able to stop people in China from shopping during the three-day New Year holiday. Excited consumers are everywhere, rushing to make a purchase.

    It's all about shopping The New Year holiday has ignited enthusiasm for consumption. It seems that all of a sudden, everyone is out to buy something.

    Chen Bensong, Supermarket Manager, said, "Our daily consumer volume stands at around 60-thousand. Sales of clothing, healthcare products and alcohol have doubled."

    The government's moves to extend its pro-consumption measures have fueled the craze. People are standing in long queues to buy home appliances.

    Wu Chaokun, Supermarket Manager, said, "It's really hot this year. The macro-economic recovery has greatly boosted our businesses. Sales of TV sets, washing machines and computers have all increased 200 percent from a year earlier."

    超市經(jīng)理吳朝坤（音譯）說："今年真的很火爆。整體經(jīng)濟(jì)的復(fù)蘇極大地促進(jìn)了我們的銷售。電視機(jī)、洗衣機(jī)和電腦的銷售都比去年增長(zhǎng)200%."
