今天我們聊聊英語(yǔ)中的介詞，介詞往往都是英語(yǔ)中拼寫最簡(jiǎn)單的，但是用法卻很復(fù)雜。而about（關(guān)于）就是這樣一個(gè)本身沒(méi)有確定的含義，必須結(jié)合上下文才會(huì)發(fā)生作用的虛詞。
例句：
His new book is about the situation in Bosnia.
他的新書是關(guān)于波斯尼亞局勢(shì)的。
Mr. Smith loves to talk about what's wrong with the government.
史密斯先生愛談?wù)惺裁床粚?duì)。
通常about后面會(huì)跟名詞或作為名詞用的詞組，但是美語(yǔ)中的用法卻有一些不同。
例句：
Midterm elections are all about voter turnout.
中期選舉完全是“關(guān)于”選民出動(dòng)。
其實(shí)這句話的意思就是：The key to winning midterm elections is voter turnout.（中期選舉取勝的關(guān)鍵在于發(fā)動(dòng)選民“出來(lái)投票”。）
Business travel isn't about adventure - it's about controlling your temple and keeping boredom at bay.
出差旅行不是“關(guān)于”新奇經(jīng)驗(yàn)--而是“關(guān)于”不發(fā)脾氣，避免煩悶。
這句話的意思其實(shí)就是：There's no adventure in business travel - you just have to control your temper and keep from getting bored.（出差旅行不是什么新奇經(jīng)驗(yàn)--主要的是“機(jī)場(chǎng)遇到麻煩”別發(fā)火，“長(zhǎng)途飛行”別感覺(jué)煩悶。）
The mouse is about money - nothing more or less.
老鼠是不折不扣的“關(guān)于”錢。
其實(shí)也就是：Mickey Mouse is in business only to make money - that's all.（“米”老鼠做生意只是為了賺錢--別無(wú)其他。）
